Crochet: An Experiment

In one of the many books I checked out from the library recently, there was a pattern for a kindle cover. I decided to adapt it for my brother's Nook, as he never got around to getting a cover. In making it, I found I didn't understand some of the pattern and wound up improvising pretty much the entire thing. I then offered to make one for my friend's Tablet, and I did, sticking to my own made up version of the pattern.

Thus, I believe I created my first crochet pattern. All on accident.

So now I've decided to try an experiment and see if I can't come up with something on purpose. My choice? Sokka's gloves from Avatar: the Last Airbender. Not sure why I settled on gloves, but I did. I'm working on the cuff right now, but I have to go look at lots of pictures of Sokka's gloves before I can really get going.

So we'll see how this experiment works out :D

(Though my hand and wrist are mad at me, so I should probably stop crocheting soon...)
