Various Updates
Jul. 20th, 2013 08:26 amI've been crocheting quite a bit lately. I finished a pot holder for my mother, the 'Cupcake' top I found in 'Stitch 'n Bitch Crochet', a hat that I found in the same book...and I'm still working on the Blouse from 'Austentatious', plus a sweater I found in a magazine, and a plushie of Luigi for my friend's son...I've been quite productive, apparently.
Crocheting really calms me down and helps me relax, so it's no wonder I've been doing quite a bit lately. I also feel really happy and accomplished when I finish something, and that's a nice feeling.
That update was rather pointless. I'll try to get some pictures up in the next few days :)

On the book front, I'd like to let you guys know what the first book I'm going to review here will be: Alive in Necropolis by Doug Dorst. I read the prologue last night and I thought I'd share my initial reactions: Dorst's language is gorgeous. It really draws you in and paints an intriguing picture of the world he's built. I'm looking forward reading the rest of this book :)
Also, my second issue of 'Weird Tales' arrived yesterday so I may make a few posts about that. The issue is Fairy Tales, so as I'm a mythology and folk lore nerd I'm VERY EXCITED :)
